Passing the Baton: Welcome New Bloggers!
Since November of 2005, I've had the fortunate opportunity to be the first moderator of ASQ's Quality in Education blog. When we embarked on this pilot project together, the waters were uncharted. The global interactions, discussions and professional sharing focused on continuous improvement have been insightful and the experience has been rewarding.
This is my last "official" posting as the baton will be passed to Becky Martin and Paul Hayes, the next generation of bloggers. Becky serves as the Continuous Improvement Facilitator for the Cedar Rapids Community School District and works closely with me in our continuous improvement journey. Becky is a highly-regarded professional, skilled facilitator and effective trainer in our district. Paul serves as a counselor in one of our middle schools and is one of our district Quality Trainers. He will bring a unique school-level perspective to the blog. I believe their passion for quality and continuous improvement will be evident to readers and they will bring fresh ideas to the Quality in Education blog.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, the readership of the blog, for your interest and interactions over the past year and a half. I've thoroughly enjoyed your insight and experiences. The next posting will be authored by Paul and Becky as they introduce themselves in the next few days.
The journey continues...

A BIG thank you to Jay for setting the bar on ASQ blogs overall! This is the most highly visited blog we host, with roughly 14,000 visits per month. Thank you too, to all the readers and those that post responses and questions to Jay's postings. I hope you will welcome and become just as engaged in Becky and Paul's blogging. Welcome to you both!

Jay,
You are a visionary and positive influence to the continuous improvement of education, thank you for two dedicated and unselfish years of service! There is no doubt in my mind that those behind you are excellent people in the ideals of education in the future.
Now with a little more time on your hands, I sense another school district out there might be able the hear the message firsthand.
Best of luck in your next adventure!
